“Practical Tips for Defending Drug OUI Charges”

When: June 12, 2020 at 10:00am

We are very fortunate to have this program put on by one of the premier defense attorneys in our State, Ed Folsom.

Ed Folsom is a graduate of the University of Maine, Orono, and the University of Maine School of Law. He is a former Deputy District Attorney for Cumberland County, a former member of the MACDL board of directors, and the 2013 recipient of MACDL’s President’s Award. In his 34 years of practice, he has handled a broad range of criminal cases from traffic crimes to murder. Since 1999, Ed has focused a significant portion of his criminal defense practice on OUI and other criminal driving offenses, as well as license suspension and revocation issues related to those offenses. He has a solo criminal defense practice in Biddeford. From 2014 through 2016, he was an adjunct professor at the University Maine School of Law where he taught “Criminal Procedure: Investigations.” Ed is the author of the legal practice guides, Maine OUI Law and Maine Driver’s License Suspensions, Revocations and Related Offenses (non-OUI). He has previously presented on OUI and license suspension issues, evidence, firearms bans resulting from criminal convictions, Fourth Amendment issues and other topics for the MCILS, the York Bar Association, and MACDL.

** YBA is working on getting this approved for CLE credits, and will pass along registration information shortly.

Are you a YBA member in need of masks?

YBA has reached out to its office supply company regarding masks. We are trying to get a discount by placing a large bulk order for our dues paying members. If we are able to secure a good rate, we would like to place an order within the next week or so, and we will pass the savings on to you. We are also willing to cover 25% of your cost after the discount for any dues paying member. If you are in need of masks, and would like us to order some for you, please reach out to Missy at mwhall@nullorsolaw.com. The masks will likely come in boxes of 50. We will get you final pricing once we know what size order we will be placing. Once the order is placed, we will provide you directions on how much is owed and where to send your payment. Once the order is received, we will provide contactless pickup at 2 locations. We will try to make these locations as convenient as possible for all members.
