Bergen & Parkinson Seeks Real Estate Paralegal

Bergen & Parkinson, York County’s largest full-service law firm, seeks a real estate paralegal and closing processor to join its busy commercial and residential closing team. Responsibilities include assisting attorneys with all aspects of the real estate transaction process. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in maintaining clear lines of communication with buyers, sellers, lenders and real estate brokers, the orderly creation and tracking of numerous case files simultaneously, initiating and assisting in title research, working up closing files, preparing settlement statements, and finalizing completed closing packages. Qualified candidates should have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, have an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be committed to accuracy and client service. Experience with Microsoft Office and standard real estate closing software applications is necessary as is strong mathematical and accounting aptitude. Experience as a closing processor for a law firm or title company would be ideal; title abstracting experience would be a plus.
